How do I apply?

For 2026, Samsung is directly reaching out to select North American universities. 

If you are interested in being considered for this year’s LEAP-U program, please work with your institution’s technology transfer and/or research contracts office to review the program’s criteria and contact the LEAP-U team via email (LEAPU@samsung.com) with introductory material of your technology and research work such as a non-confidential deck, website, technology summary, or related publications.

Virtual or in-person meetings with the LEAP-U team will follow to assess fit. Proposals will be requested to apply using our template that includes, but is not limited to, an overview of your research and a development plan of the proposed research project.
